Nikki Lewis Simon, a Shareholder and commercial litigator with more than 21 years of experience, also serves as Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer. As part of this evolving role, Nikki is the firm’s executive-level diversity, equity and inclusion strategist, working to align the firm’s DEI initiatives and programming with client needs, as well as the needs of the firm and the communities it serves.
Prior to assuming primary responsibilities on the business side of the firm, Nikki has represented her cross-industry clients’ business objectives by protecting their capital – human, intellectual, and financial – against claims of wrongdoing in complex commercial and class action litigation. Those matters have spanned the panoply of issues and claims businesses often face, from discrimination to wrongful death, defamation to fraud, professional negligence and malpractice to breach of fiduciary duty and securities law violations.
Nikki also actively serves in the South Florida community generally, including as a volunteer at her church in The Fountain of New Life’s Spring Ministry; with the South Broward Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta; and bar organizations at the local, county and state level. She currently serves on The Florida Bar Board of Governors, representing the 11th Judicial Circuit for Miami-Dade County and on the board of the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation, among other service. She is also a Past President, Historian and Board Member for the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association.
Nikki and her family make their home in South Florida.
