Experienced trial lawyer and commercial litigator with large law firms from 1980 to 2020 (see listing below).

Practice and Experience:
Practice was devoted primarily to complex insurance/reinsurance coverage and bad faith matters in property/casualty (first and third-party, personal lines and commercial lines), professional liability (including directors and officers), life insurance and specialty insurance cases. I primarily represented insurers in these disputes, but on occasion also represented policyholders, and had substantial experience with disputes between and among direct insurers (primary/excess/umbrella) as well as reinsurers and cedents. The substantive areas in which I have experience include catastrophes (earthquake, wildfires, storms), environmental, professional liability (attorneys, accountants, brokers, investment advisers, architects & engineers, etc.), construction, business and entertainment disputes. I also advised on policy wordings and advised insurance brokers on underwriting and claims issues. As a litigator I tried over 50 jury trials in state and federal courts and arbitrated approximately 50 cases before various tribunals (ARIAS, JAMS, AAA, Independent Film & Television Alliance.)
