Peter Gentile, Treasurer

Peter Gentile has served the insurance and reinsurance industry for thirty five years. During the last seven years, as an ARIAS•U.S. Certified Arbitrator and Certified Umpire, he has served on several arbitration panels as both party appointed arbitrator and umpire. Mr. Gentile has also served as a litigation consultant and expert witness in a number of large disputes involving insurers and reinsurers. Previously, he was a National Director at the Tillinghast business of Towers Perrin, where his responsibilities in the U.S. and Bermuda included consulting on reinsurance structures, mergers and acquisitions, and business plans for new entrants into the reinsurance industry.

From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Gentile was the founder, President and CEO of Gerling Global Financial Products. With divisions in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and off-shore, this company was the worldwide center of excellence for long tail casualty, structured reinsurance and financial products for the Gerling Group.

Mr. Gentile was with the Swiss Re Group for ten years, where he held various senior management positions in underwriting and finance with North American Reinsurance, Swiss Re Atrium, Western Atlantic Reinsurance and European International Reinsurance.

Mr. Gentile started his career with the international accounting firm of KPMG. He was admitted to the Partnership in 1984 and served as a leader of the insurance practice for several years. He is a CPA and has a graduate degree in Taxation and Finance.
